Questions for your bank financing conversation

Explain what the funds would be used for, such as cash flow, an asset purchase or expansion. Ask the bank which products it offers for that purpose and what information it needs. An introduction does not establish eligibility.

• Is interest flat or calculated on a reducing balance?
• Which fees and repayment conditions affect the total cost?
• Is security or a personal guarantee required?
• What credit checks form part of a formal application?
• What are the assessment and disbursement steps?
